How would you describe/rate your experience working with the ABV staff in the USA? I thought the experience was OK. I did get a call back or an email back pretty soon after I sent one but always had to leave a message and wait for a reply.
How was the local ABV Director and the support provided in-country? Edem was great and very enthusiastic about his cause. He did have a alot going on and did run on Ghanian time so had to learn to not use my watch while I was there.
What was your favorite memory of this trip? How friendly the people were
What was the most difficult thing you experienced? The cockroaches in the bathroom
What was the one thing you wished you were better prepared for? My assignment when I got there. I have a lot of experience and could have been better prepared if I had communication with the local coordinator so I could have bought better/more appropriate supplies and researched for the projects that I was involved in.
Personal Paragraph (ABV Program Testimonial): It was overall an amazing and humbling experience that I would recommend anyone to do at least once in their life.
Are you willing to speak to other potential ABV volunteers? Yes
