My Favorite Memory: working with the nurses at the wound clinic. Playing with the kids during their dance time.
I was surprised that…. I felt super safe. People talk about how Honduras is dangerous but with a little common sense it was very enjoyable.
The most difficult thing I experienced was… language barrier
My best received lesson… I’m spoiled!
Tip for future volunteers… (Clothing, travel, personal items, donations, sightseeing etc)
Cayos Cochinos is beautiful if you can make it there on the weekend
How would you rate your experience working with the ABV staff, both in the USA, and in-country?
Good! Occasionally felt like I was not sure what we should be doing, but there was help when needed.
How would you describe your accommodation ( ie: host family, on-site, shared housing etc)
Amazing! They were so wonderful and accommodating. The food was also great.
Are you willing to speak to other potential ABV volunteers? Yes
