My Favorite Memory: There is no way to give you a favorite memory. One of my best times was with Doris, my host mom I lived with. I had many good times with the ABV Director, Gretty
I was surprised that….Cusco is a community more than people just getting on with their life. When you walk down the streets it is a lively thriving with family people and everyone just loves everyone.

The most difficult thing I experienced was….Some days at the orphanage, brushing kids teeth, changing dirty diapers, but I learned to love the place I worked at.
My best received lesson… that I need routine in my life.

Tip for future volunteers… (Clothing, travel, personal items, donations, sightseeing etc) JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET. Be yourself and try to get to know the local people because they are amazing.
Personal Paragraph (Testimonial):
Doris was the best host ever. She treated me like a son. When I was sick she patted my back! I love her so much and hope you give her tons of praise. SHE IS THE BEST
How would you rate your experience working with the ABV staff, both in the USA, and in-country?
People who choose to volunteer care more about the work itself than people who decide to work elsewhere, like at a summer camp with their friends.
How would you describe your accommodation ( ie: host family, on-site, shared housing etc)
I loved my hosts Doris and Sippy. I could not have asked for a better host family.
Are you willing to speak to other potential ABV volunteers?
Yes!
