Patrick argentina

My Favorite Memory
Playing football with the kids and sitting in on some of their classes.
I was surprised that The Spanish in Argentina is so different from the spanish from the rest
of the world.

The most difficult thing I experienced was
Waiting around for the strike to end.

My best received lesson
Patience. Things work very differently here, and it was necessary to just accept it. I also was initially a bit frustrated because I could not understand the spanish here, but after a few weeks I caught on.

Personal Paragraph
I have always enjoyed traveling, but I can honestly say that I have never done anything like this. Backpacking is vastly different from actually living and working in a different culture. I have never been so fully immersed into another society, and I have enjoyed it greatly. I have become very close with all of the children and teachers, and I will definitely have a tough time leaving here. I was fortunate enough to have a great host who helped me maintain my punctuality while being very understanding and allowing me to have a social life on the side. She was always ready to answer any questions that I had concerning Argentinian life or language. I expanded my horizon on so many levels, and with this better understanding of existentialism I have a better understanding of life in general. This experience will only serve to improve my character and help me overcome obstacles in the future.

This has been an amazing opportunity to change my perspective, and it is something that I will never forget.
